Villa Hansa is situated alongside a gentle river bordered by beautiful rice terraces in rural Pererenan.  The immediate vicinity offers a smattering of hip cafes as well as traditional local haunts, and the many new and exciting dining and shopping establishments of Canggu’s Jalan Batu Bolong area are only a couple of kilometers away.

Named after the Goddess of Knowledge, Villa Hansa is a true manifestation of the local culture and spirituality. This vacation rental 7-bedroom of Villa Hansa is embedded by the rice-paddies of Canggu, making it a dream vacation home for those seeking peacefulness and tranquillity. The villa’s main speciality is its eco-friendly practices and the villa has established the Hansa Foundation which supports the local community in mostly education and arts. With such a cultural and sacred ambience you will experience life in a different form.

The living area

A heavy teak wooden gate and stepping stones over a peaceful pond lead into the breathtaking 400 year old Javanese Joglo, completely hand-crafted and hand-carved out of teak wood and enriched by modern full length glass doors allowing you to enjoy air-conditioned comfort while still keeping the amazing garden view. It is a truly special place that breathes elegance and sophistication with an amazing collection of traditional antiques, interesting artwork and lamps crafted from traditional fish-traps. In the centre there is a luxurious sofa lounge where you can curl up with a book, there is a gorgeous teak wooden dining table and a classy bar-lounge for enjoying drinks. Villa Hansa also features a separate open-plan dining pavilion surrounded by ponds and for entertainment there is an air-conditioned TV lounge.

Outdoor and pool area

The expansive riverside garden has lush exotic plants and trees growing all around the peaceful ponds, the hand-carved sculptures and the stunning overflowing swimming pool. While swimming laps you can gaze at the stunning rice fields at the back of the estate and afterwards you can sunbathe on the pool-side loungers and day-beds. For entertainment and garden dinner parties, there is a BBQ balé equipped with a pool-table. Nestled in the corner of the garden, there is a breezy open-plan yoga pavilion with a truly peaceful ambiance.

The master bedroom

The master suite offers unrivalled luxury and privacy with a California king-size bed positioned below a rare 400-year old joglo carving.  Bedside lighting controls are integrated into the teak bedframe and café-style seating is provided at two tables.  A sundeck leads to a 12-metre infinity pool and wraps around to a secluded walled courtyard.  The bathroom features a huge sunken bath surrounded by a fish-filled pond.  A private television room lies behind the master suite.
